- [Instructor] Two commonly used Conditional Functions are IF and COUNTIF. On the Excel 2016 MOS exam you may be asked to enter text into a Cell IF specific criteria is met. Or you may be asked to count a Range and return the number of Cells that meet the exact criteria included in a COUNTIF Function. To prepare you for the Excel 2016 MOS exam we'll learn how to correctly use the IF and the COUNTIF Functions. I have the 05_02 Exercise File open so let's get started. We're working on our Vendor Invoices Worksheet and what we need to determine is which of our Vendors do we need to Send a Reminder Letter to because they have an Overdue Balance with us. Column E contains their Balance and Column F is where we will write that IF statement. And we can have this IF statement return any text that we want to. It can say yes, to Send a Reminder or no.
