Use the TRIM and CLEAN functions to remove excess spaces and non-printing characters

- [Instructor] In this worksheet 2 called "Employees Spaces," 3 we've got some problems in column C. 4 When you have leading spaces 5 that causes problems when you sort data. 6 You might even have trailing spaces 7 and that could cause problems if you're trying 8 to match up data from different locations. 9 And if you've got multiple inner spaces, 10 same problem, that occurs in row 12 here. 11 Also in row 10, we can clean up all these 12 with a function called "Trim". 13 The trim function is designed to get rid of spaces, 14 leading spaces, trailing spaces, 15 and it will reduce multiple consecutive inner spaces to one. 16 If I suspect there's a trailing space, 17 and by the way, they're really hard to track down 18 and usually we don't have to do this, 19 but if I double click in cell C2 20 off to the right, out this way, 21 double click, notice how the cursor's 22 beyond the end of the cell. 23 If I do this, for…
