- [Instructor] We're looking at a worksheet 2 that's showing sales over a two-year period, 3 about 400 rows or so. 4 And we want to analyze the data 5 based on date type information. 6 Let's apply a filter here. 7 Going to the Data tab, 8 filter arrow to the right, 9 we see filter arrows on each Column. 10 Excel recognizes the nature of the data. 11 If we click the filter arrow for Column A, 12 we see text filters appearing. 13 Column C, we see clicking that same relative arrow, 14 number filters, and sure enough, 15 clicking Column D, the drop arrow, 16 we see date filters, 17 quite a bit different than the other list. 18 And by the way, for time, nothing special there. 19 Excel simply is seeing these as numbers. 20 But let's focus on Date, drop arrow. 21 This is historical data. 22 It's for a two-year period. 23 If we go to date filters, 24 depending upon how recent the data is, 25 we might want to be…
