- [Instructor] The Federal Reserve Bank which is the central bank of the United States manages monetary policy in the U.S. Its oversight function includes managing the central bank, the 12 regional Federal Reserve banks and all banks operating in the U.S. The Fed as it is usually known also provides data for analysts and legislators so that they can evaluate the consequences of different polices. In this movie I'll demonstrate how you can find some of this data for yourself, the webpage that I've gone to is FederalReserve.gov/data.htm. When you're on FederalReserve.gov you can find quite a bit of data, you see everything here on the data page, you can also see a highlighted reference by hovering the mouse pointer over the data tab in the navigation bar that gives you information there as well.
