US Census Bureau population data

- [Instructor] Most Americans think of the United States Census Bureau as the government organization that counts the American population every 10 years. In fact, the Census Bureau, which is part of the Department of Commerce, is tasked with gathering a wide range of data from individuals, government entities at the national, state, and local levels, and industry. In this movie, I will show you how to use their new site, data.cencus.gov to find population data collected and analyzed by the Census Bureau. I have navigated to data.census.gov, and you can see here in overview, that allows you to search immediately for any data that you want. If you scroll down, you'll see a number of subjects available, population, economics, education, business, emergency preparedness, and so on. Let's say that I want to look for population data.
