Time limitations using formulas

- [Instructor] On this worksheet called TimeFormula in our chapter four workbook we want to restrict the entries in column C to a certain range. Now already there's Data Validation in effect here. If you click column C, go to Data Validation on the Data tab you'll see there's a requirement here, all the entries must be between eight a.m. and six p.m., but we wanna go a step further with this. And unfortunately Time as an option here just doesn't give us that many choices. Between, greater than, less than, et cetera. But what if we wanna restrict this perhaps in a more creative way? To work more easily with this data let's not allow any kind of entries here unless they're a multiple of 15 minutes. And we can do that by use of a function called mod. You may or may not be familiar with it. The mod function allows us to figure out the remainder in a division problem.
