- [Instructor] Using statistics is critical to interpreting output from survey data. You may have heard of concepts like the mean or the median. These play a critical role in interpreting our market research data results. I'm in the 03_04_Begin Excel file. Now, Excel is great because it excels at taking large amounts of data and then organizing it neatly and letting us spit out basic statistics like means, medians, and standard deviations. So, we have here a hypothetical set of data and what we've done is survey 21 different customers about a product, and in particular, we had three different variations on this product. I'm calling them product configuration A, product configuration B, and product configuration C. So, we surveyed seven different consumers about each of these three different product configurations at a variety of different price points and what we were interested in is their purchase intent score.
