Although there is no direct way to force entries in a list to be unique, a data validation formula, by way of the Custom option on the Settings tab can enforce this restriction. To allow only unique entries in Column B, for example, use this data validation formula after selecting column B: =COUNTIF(B:B,B1)=1.
