- [Instructor] I want to show you how you can reference data in another workbook using Query. We use Query to link data between workbooks or other data sources. It can be a text file, an access data table, there are so many different data types that you can link to, and we'll review those different data types in this video. I'll also show you how to use the Query Editor, so that you can pick and choose which columns and rows of data you want to bring in to your workbook. I have a couple of files opened. Let me hop over to Excel. First we have our 02_02 Query document, and I am currently on the sales team. This is a nice blank area that we're going to import and link information from another workbook. Let me go to View and Switch Windows. This 02_02 Sales document has information regarding our sales team we need to import into our Query document.
