Record a macro and play it back from the Quick Access Toolbar
- [Narrator] We're looking at a workbook called QAT button playback. Not everybody uses that abbreviation. QAT, it refers to quick access toolbar. That's the toolbar that appears typically above the ribbon. Initially, as you start to use Excel, you might have only two or three buttons here, but you can add additional buttons, including a button that's associated with a macro. Some people do put this quick access toolbar below the ribbon. Most people leave it above. Now, in this workbook are some macros already. We'll go to the developer tab, click that macros button off to the left. There are two macros, highlight numbers cells, values, and millions. Let's pick one of these and suggest that we might want to have this available much of the time. Now, currently it's only in this work book, but eventually we'll put it into a location, where we can use it all the time. But let's first associate it with the new button…
