- [Instructor] On this HR List worksheet, 2 we might want to see just the Department Research Center. 3 We see it in cell C4. 4 Now, there are a couple ways to get to this, 5 and the most direct way is by way of the filter in Excel. 6 We can go to the Data tab, choose Filter. 7 That puts arrows at the top of every column. 8 I'll click the Department arrow right here, 9 and we could unselect them all, and choose, 10 after scrolling downward here, Research Center. 11 Click OK, and we're only seeing those, just five people, 12 but there can be a faster way, 13 and the way we get to this faster way is a bit unusual. 14 So let me remove the filter, 15 and what I'm going to use is a feature 16 that allows us to click a cell, 17 for example, Research Center, 18 and then click a Filter button 19 and immediately have just those rows appear. 20 It's referred to as Filter by Selection. 21 And what we need to do is to add a new…
