- [Instructor] Once your workbook has been finalized, you might want to protect the workbook, so that users can't come in and either delete, accidentally, information, or change information in any of your worksheets. In this video, I'll show you how to protect a range of information and users would need to enter a password before they can go in and update, or change information within that range. I'll show you how to protect a worksheet, so that no changes can be made, how to protect a workbook. When you protect a workbook, it holds on to the structure of the workbook. So, if you have hidden worksheets, or hidden columns and rows, the user would not be able to unhide that information unless they had the password. I'll also show you how to encrypt a workbook with a password so that it can't even be open unless the user has the password. I have the 02_04 exercise file open, so let's protect our workbook.
