Print Preview

Whenever you are about to print a worksheet, it's a good idea to get a preview of it first. I think we have all at one time or another printed some information, we thought we were printing a page and got 85 pages of junk or something like that. We can click the File tab. We can click Print, get a preview off on the right-hand side, that's not so bad, and we might have put in, as I have, in the Quick Access toolbar a Print Preview button, and there we go. That's pretty handy too. But maybe even faster, and we can certainly get to it in a flash at any time, is Ctrl+F2, a relatively new keystroke shortcut introduced in Excel 2007.

Any time you want to get a quick, preview of how this worksheet is about to look if we print it right now, Ctrl+F2, and a quick Escape and we are out of here. And here in there of course, we get surprises. For example in this worksheet, obviously we should adjust our column width first, but even here, Ctrl+F2, there it is, a rough idea of how that's ...
