- [Instructor] In this worksheet called StateTotals…on our chapter seven workbook,…we've got two sets of data,…and they're here for different reasons.…We need to make changes to them.…Sometimes you don't need to write formulas…and yet you do want to change cells based…on a certain amount.…In the data to the left here,…maybe these are index type number.…We're going to be using them computationally…but we've discovered after checking out a few of them…that they're all short by five.…What we would want to do…is to add five to each one of these.…
One approach could be is to recognize…that this a range that's 12 deep by seven wide.…We could highlight a similar range down here…and write formulas…to gather up all that data, increase them five,…then copy, paste and so on.…It would take a few steps.…But we can do it a lot faster by simply starting…with the incremental value…and it could be in some cases the decremental value.…I'm putting in the number five…in any nearby cell.…I'll copy it with Control + C.…Then highlight the data that we want to change.…
