- [Instructor] Octavius has called, and he is hot. He says he paid the $240 but he just got an email saying he owes $240. We open our spreadsheet and we see these ref errors. So your help is needed in three ways. One, what do these ref errors mean? Two, what would we need in order to fix this? Third, can we fix this data and get Octavius off our backs. Right? Pause the video, think about it, and come back and we'll go through this together. Okay, you're back. A ref error typically means a formula was pointing to something that is no longer there. A column got deleted, a row got deleted, something broke. That's what that ref error is telling us. And if we click on it, we can see this is doing J4 minus something that's no longer there. Probably the payment, because J is the fee, and it was subtracting something in order to calculate what's due. So that's what we would need in order to fix this data set is a list of…
