Overview of chart types
- [Instructor] On this worksheet called Chart Data, we're seeing the same data being depicted in numerous different charts. Excel has 20 different chart types and within each type, there are some variations. On this worksheet, we see the data from cells A4 over in down to cell G8 being depicted. Just to the right is a line chart. To the right of that, we're seeing just one row of that data being depicted as a pie chart. Below that, we're seeing a bar chart, and to the left, a 3D column chart, and just below the data off to the left, a column chart. It's highly unlikely you would be displaying the same set of data in different chart types at the same time, but it is a reminder of some of the different variations that we have in Excel when it comes to selecting a chart type.
