Navigate between workbooks efficiently: Excel 2016: Tips and Tricks

To jump back and forth from one open workbook to another, press Ctrl+Tab or Ctrl+Shift+Tab. With only two workbooks open, the keystroke shortcuts provide almost instantaneous switching. You can also use the Switch Windows icon on the View tab in the ribbon to get a list of all open files and then select one to switch.
