Use multi-tier Excel PivotTables to show sales performance comparisons, like sales by rep, account, and product.
[Instructor] - Now that you've seen how to create…recommended and simple pivot tables and charts,…we're going to show you how to create a…multi-tier pivot table.…We're starting with our current sales leaderboard,…but now I wanna add customer, category and product.…And not necessarily in that order.…So I'm just gonna click each one of those items.…You could also drag them down…into the rows field if you want.…But since I'm already up here,…I'm just gonna click.…Now this looks great but,…boy that's a lot of information all in on place.…And it gets a little bit overwhelming to see.…So I think the first thing I'm gonna do…is change the default view.…This is called the compact view,…or the compact form.…
So I'm gonna go to the design tab on the ribbon,…then report layout.…And I'm gonna choose tabular form.…That spreads thing out in columns.…Now you need a little bit of double clicking…to adjust your column so that they fit.…But that's okay,…this isn't really the formatting time for all this yet.…And this still looks a little bit too much for me,…
