- [Curt] Thanks again for your interest in value stream maps. I've had a lot of fun at revisiting this topic from my business school days. Before I go, I wanted to give you some pointers to further resources that you can use to advance your study. Specifically, I'll recommend three books. The first one is "Value Stream Mapping" by Martin and Osterling. As the name applies, it goes into some depth about the techniques that I've demonstrated here. Also, there is the book, "Learning To See" by Rother and Shook. This takes a look at value stream mapping and it's from a lean process perspective. So, if you do any sort of lean engineering, analysis or process improvement, this book will be exactly what you need to continue that work. And, finally, from a broader operations management standpoint, I cannot recommend, "Matching Supply with Demand", highly enough. The two authors, Cachon and Terwiesch, do a terrific job.…
