- [Voiceover] To be effective, a simulation must…use random numbers to generate its results.…After you run a simulation, you can delete…its results from the results worksheet…to make room for a new set of outputs.…In this movie, I will show you how to use…the name box to select the output cells on…the results worksheet quickly,…so you can delete the values and run the simulation again.…My sample file is Chapter 0602 and it's a workbook…that you can find in the Chapter six folder…of your exercise files collection.…
The results of the simulation that I ran earlier…appear on the results worksheet…and you can see those here.…And if we scroll down, we can see that the results…go all the way down to row 145.…And then there's a previous calculation here…in row 146 that I just went had deleted.…So what we have is data in the cells…from A2, which was just below the header row,…down to F145.…
If we want to delete the results in those cells,…leaving G and H, which contain formulas,…as they are, then click the name box,…which is just above the top left corner…
