- [Instructor] In this worksheet called Join Data,…we've got data in columns A, B, and C.…We might want to put those names together.…Now, it's certainly wrong the way we're seeing the data now.…We can sort a list like that,…imagine other data to the right of it.…We want to sort by last name, we can certainly do that.…But what if we wanted to save a little bit…of horizontal space by putting the names together?…In other words, why not have Gomez, Eric in row two.…We can do that in a couple different ways.…One way is by writing a formula.…It might be a little cumbersome.…Another way, probably better,…is by way of the feature called flash fill.…
It's on the data tab in the ribbon menu system…off to the right.…And you might have seen it in a previous movie…used to split data into separate columns.…Here we're trying to join data.…So I'm going to type in here…the way I want these names to appear.…Gomez,…comma, space, Eric,…and I'll press enter.…That looks good.…I could start the second cell doing the same sort of thing.…
