- [Instructor] Excel has a variety of shapes, arrows, stars, 2 and banners that you can add to a worksheet. 3 Sometimes you're just trying to enliven the appearance 4 of the worksheet or to point out certain numbers 5 that deserve special attention, 6 like what we're seeing on this worksheet here. 7 That's a hexagon off to the right 8 with an arrow pointing to the cells. 9 And anytime you create a shape that encompasses space, 10 you can put text in it. 11 The features are all available on the Insert tab. 12 If you're not using Excel 365 with the latest updates, 13 you're probably seeing the word Shapes already 14 after you click Insert. 15 It tends to be in this general section here 16 off to the right. 17 But if you see Illustrations, click it, and then Shapes. 18 Well over 150 different shapes here, 19 all different kinds. 20 If you choose rectangle, for example, 21 click and drag, 22 we can make this as wide…
