How much detail to include

- When you prepare a budget, you need to line item everything to account for all money spent, but knowing how much of that detail to present to the client without overwhelming them is important. The budget you create should be incredibly detailed. Every person, every piece of equipment, every meal, every thing about that project should have its own line item so you can clearly see where your money is going to be spent. You need to have that amount of detail to ensure you've accounted for everything in the project. What you don't want is to present an overly-detailed budget to your client that confuses them. So what should be included? You may think it's impressive to show your client how much work you've put into your budget by showing them every line item. However, if the client doesn't understand what a slider is, or a stabilizer, or maybe an OLED viewfinder, or a soft light, they could just be confused. And worse, they start questioning you.
