- [Instructor] We would like to get a summary by store and by item, not the detail, so we want to look at sofa, chair, gloves, we don't care about leather, stool, driving, red, hot pink, none of that, just the items and get a total value for each by store. And we're going to get a count of each item type. Let's do it. Cursor in the dataset. Data, From Table/Range. We've got to close the holes in the store column. Right-click, Fill, Down. Then we have to split the item column. Highlight that, Split Column, By Delimiter. Split it by the comma at each occurrence, that's fine. OK, and then we get rid of this. Right-click, Remove. Now we're ready to group by. Go here, Group By, Advanced, because we want to group two ways, by the store and by the item. Here we go. By store, Add grouping, item.
