- [Narrator] While the stock market might seem like a playground for institutional investors and high net worth individuals, financial data can inform personal and business decisions. In this movie, I will describe the Google Finance site, which provides access to viable financial data about companies and industry. To get to the current page, I didn't go to the URL that you see, instead what I did was I typed in "finance.google.com" into my browsers address bar, and this is the page that came up, and you can see that I have market summary information, which is information all about the DOW Jones Industrial and other indices, including world markets, such as the DAX, which is based in Germany. From here, I can search for specific information, lets say that I want to get information on Microsoft. To do that, I'll go to the search bar, and I will type in Microsoft's stock ticker symbol, which is "MSFT", and you can see it's listed here, at the top, so that's the NASDAQ ticker symbol. Go…
