- [Instructor] I've just opened this worksheet. 2 I'm trying to get some information out of it quickly. 3 I've got a meeting coming up in 20 minutes or so. 4 First order of business might be, 5 I'll press ctrl end just to get some scope here. 6 This is 742 rows. 7 I'll press ctrl home back to the upper left corner, 8 but I need more information than that, 9 so I'm going to click on column A, first of all, 10 and I know how many people's names are in this list 11 because in the status bar at the bottom 12 of the screen, we see count 742. 13 What that really means is 742 cells in column A have data. 14 We'll subtract one for that heading. 15 So there's 741 names here. 16 I'm a little curious about some other information here too. 17 Hire date. Can I get anything out of this? 18 Let's click column E, and again, go to that status bar. 19 Average hire date, well that doesn't interest me much, 20 but off to the right, and…
