Formatting text
- Well now that we have all of our content added to our worksheet. We have our text. We have our numbers. We have formulas calculating those numbers. It's time to make this look nice. So we're going to look at formatting, beginning with formatting text. We're going to do it with our Landon Hotels Revenue sheet. If you need to get caught up, just open up RH_Revenues0201. We're going to go to cell A1 and click there. You'll notice on the formula bar, we see all of the content Landon Hotels - Revenue 2014 (in millions USD) and that's because we entered it there. It appears that there's content in columns B, C, D and E here as well, but we know that this is simply overlapping those empty cells, and because they're empty, we're able to see everything. If we go to cell B1, there's nothing there. So formatting cells B, C, D, or E1 would actually accomplish nothing. We have to go to cell A1 where the content is. And now to change the formatting, it's just like you do in most word processing…
