- [Narrator] Formatting cells and ranges is one of the objectives of the Excel 2016 MOS exam. In this video, we'll review four topics for which you may see a task or two during the exam. First we'll talk about how to merge cells. Probably something that you do all the time, but did you know that there are actually three settings that you can choose from? We'll talk about how to use the format painter. The format painter is great tool that allows you to copy formatting from a cell and quickly apply it to another cell or a range of cells. Next, I'll demonstrate how to wrap text in a column. This allows us to keep our column headings basically the same width, which makes our information easier to read and looks much more professional. We'll cover some basic number formatting and also look at the different cell styles available to us. I have the 03_02 exercise file open, so let's go ahead and get started.
