- [Instructor] We talked about using the functions V lookup, and H lookup and X lookup, we need to distinguish between the two major kinds of lookups within each of those categories. And we're talking about either an exact match or an approximate match. If we're trying to match up data based on an ID type number, like Social Security or employee ID, or trying to match up data based on text entries, like people's names, that's called an exact match. But in the scenario that we're seeing potentially on this worksheet, we're trying to come up with some tax rates here, based on the information in column C. And we're not trying to find this data, like we're seeing in column C exactly. We're using it based on the idea of a breakpoint. In other words, a list somewhere else like the one here in columns G and H. The numbers that we're seeing in column C are going to fall somewhere between these. So we're not talking about an exact…
