Fill cells using Flash Fill

- [Instructor] Flash Fill is a cool and fun feature to use in Excel. It automatically fills your data when it senses a pattern. So for example, you can use Flash Fill to either separate first and last names, or combine first and last names all into a single cell. Let's take a look at our Flash Fill document and work with the customer's worksheet to combine the first and last name of our customers. We have ContactLast and ContactFirst. It's going to look for a pattern. So we have a couple of different ways we can do this. We can say Quail and a space and Austin. Or we could even do the last name first, a comma, and the first name, but we'll continue on like this. I'll tab on down to the next cell, and type in Kamal Duncan. And do you see the ghosted text down below? It already senses the pattern that I want to complete, and all I have to do is hit enter. As quick as that, all of my names have been combined.
