- [Instructor] When you work with pivot tables, 2 you've got three options for displaying 3 what's called a report format. 4 In this worksheet here, comprised of some 900 rows of data, 5 we're going to create a pivot table relatively quickly 6 by clicking on the Insert tab in the ribbon, 7 choosing Recommended Pivot Tables, 8 I'll choose the first option simply by double clicking it. 9 We're on a new worksheet, small pivot table. 10 I'm going to alter the pivot table 11 by checking the box for salesperson, 12 this will automatically go to the row labels. 13 And so we now have a pivot table showing 14 salesperson and region, total number of items, 15 let's also bring in product, but as a column labels entry. 16 Now, recognize that in a pivot table, 17 if you make no changes to the report layout, 18 the default layout, which is currently being displayed, 19 is called compact. 20 That doesn't necessarily mean a lot to…
