- [Instructor] On the worksheet called autofill…in our Chapter Five movie,…scrolling off to the right here in column K,…also in column M, we see some times.…When you enter a time in excel…it's best to type with a colon,…as this three colon forty-five was typed.…This could have meant a time of day…or it could have meant a length of time.…The meeting lasted three hours and forty-five minutes.…When you type an entry like this…keep an eye on the formula bar.…You might not have thought about it,…but this is also recorded as three forty-five am.…
Now if we are recording times of day,…we want to be sensitive of course…to the fact that afternoon times could be done differently.…If I type in seven forty-five, what does that mean?…You might be thinking seven forty-five PM…but that's seven forty-five am.…Again, different contexts at different times…require the entries to be a little bit different.…To accentuate the fact that these mean times of day,…we could do one of two things.…We could type this as seven colon forty-five,…
