- [Instructor] Sometimes reports and charts can take a while to analyze. But did you know that Excel has some neat inbuilt tools to make it easy to highlight interesting results? If you'd like to follow along with me, have my business budget reporting open and make sure you're on the dashboard worksheet. This worksheet contains our summary reports, and as you can see, we have some charts and tables. The very first table here shows the monthly operating result that is, revenue minus expenses. Now, wouldn't it be great if we could make the more profitable months stand out from the less profitable ones? Well, luckily, there is a simple way to do this. Let's go ahead and select cells c nine all the way across to n nine. Then select conditional formatting, color scales, and then let's select this very first one here.
