Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Editing a conditional format, part of Data-Driven Presentations with Excel and PowerPoint 2013.
In this workbook, we have applied an icon set to the K-eco backup…battery and K-eco inverter commercial sales in our four regions.…We have 28 data points here and the green circles show our largest…sales or the top third, the red the bottom third, and the yellow the center third.…Now, if it was showing us our top…third of sales itself, we'd expect to see about nine green circles…for those top nine events, and about nine red circles for the bottom nine.…
But in fact, the way this works is it uses percents, and it doesn't take as many big…sales to make up the top third, or 33% as it does to make up the bottom third.…It takes a lot of small sales to equal…a small number of large sales. So, what if we really want to see instead,…green circles for the top third of events or the top third…of the percentile. And red diamonds for the bottom third.…What we'd do is, we'd edit this.…
We'd go to Conditional Formatting, we've already applied…the rules, but we want to manage the rule.…And I'm just going to double-click.…
