- [Instructor] In this worksheet called Autofill…in our chapter nine file,…we've got some data in columns G through K…relating to state populations,…2010 population, 2018 estimate.…And the numbers as we see them are large…and yet these are accurate and we'd want to use them.…On the other hand, whenever see a large cluster of numbers,…sometimes we wish maybe we could be seeing this less.…What if we could change this heading so somehow say…2010 population in millions?…If you are familiar with these numbers…or you work with these numbers often…and say you're in the office and somebody says,…"What's the population of Georgia again?"…Maybe you're thinking of 2010.…
You might say it as, oh, 9.7 million…or looking over here, 10.5 million by the data.…Well we can display them that way.…One way to do this, and not the best way,…would be to create a new column…So we could, for example, in cell L2…equal the California entry, divided by one million,…one zero zero zero zero zero zero…and we get an answer like that.…
