To display unique entries from a range of cells, select the list and use the Advanced Filtering command on the Data tab. Click the Copy to another locationandUnique records onlybuttons and, in theCopy topanel, select a cell representing the upper left corner of where you want the results to be copied.

We could, however, want to get a new unique list.…In other words, let's not destroy the existing list.…Let's create a new list that is unique.…We can do that too by way of a feature…called Advanced Filter.…At other times maybe we're only looking at…certain parts of the data.…For example, someone might be looking at column C…and say how many different departments do we have?…Could we create a unique list for just column C?…
