- In this worksheet, called Line Chart,…we've got a Line Chart to the right, and, as I click it,…recognize that the data being highlighted…is for the first three rows.…We're showing data from Arizona, California, and Colorado.…What is strange about this chart is there are gaps in it,…and, of course, that means either missing data,…or something else unusual is going on.…Looking at the data itself, recognize that Cell D2 is blank.…That represents 2014 third quarter,…and, as we look at the chart,…we see there's no information there.…
There is no connection between these lines for Arizona,…and, similarly, with Colorado, from 2015 quarter one…to 2015 quarter three, no connection there.…That means that the quarter two data is empty,…and we see that over in the data in Cell G4.…Now, if I switch this to a Column Chart,…and I'll do that by, with the chart selected,…go to the Charts tab in the ribbon, click the Column button,…left side, Clustered Column,…here the same data is in effect, but it's much less obvious…and, perhaps, a better chart,…
