Excel Power Query: Keep data refreshed automatically

(electronic music) - I got to show you something real sweet. Those of us who work with data, we have to deal with this a lot. We get data in a bunch of different pieces, or is sent to us on a regular basis, say, every Monday, we get the inventory report, and we got to sweep it all together in one place. A typical way to deal with this would be copy, paste, copy, paste, and when you've got 50 workbooks, that's really error prone, and it gets put off until never. The solution is power query. (electronic music) Here, I have a folder with three folders in it, and each of those folders has files. We've got member data about a blue group, green group, red group. Here, in Excel, all the people, all stacked up from all of the files. Oh, data from the purple group just showed up. Let's grab that, here is it. I'm going to drop it into the folder.
