- When you're trying to tabulate totals from a worksheet, 2 one thought could be we can go to the data tab 3 and if we do sort the data right now, it's not sorted, 4 but if it were sorted, we could consider using 5 the subtotal feature. 6 And it's ideal for tabulating a single set of totals. 7 What it's not adept at is multiple sets of totals, 8 what we sometimes call cross totals. 9 Now this list is about 900 rows. 10 We'd like to know how many dishwashers 11 Bill Babowsky has sold, 12 how many dryers Shelley Levine has sold, and so on. 13 So looking at the data here, we could, 14 as we explore this data, consider the possibility 15 of a pivot table, that might serve our needs. 16 What if we're not too adept at pivot tables? 17 Or maybe if we think that's doing a lot more 18 than we actually need to do, 19 could we come up with totals here by way of formulas? 20 Well, we can. 21 Question is, which function or set of formulas…
