- [Instructor] If you're working with a large list…like the one in this worksheet called split freeze,…as you start to scroll down the list…your title row disappears.…And many times we need to see that.…On the View tab in the ribbon is an option…called Freeze Panes.…One of these is Freeze Top Row.…As long as your top row is visible right now…freeze top row, start to scroll downward,…we always see row one.…Really handy.…This has nothing to do with printing.…And if we open and close and save the file…it's going to stay in place all the time.…
If at some point if you want to remove the feature…go back to Freeze Panes and simply unfreeze them.…As we scroll left and right, and you can imagine…some lists having even more columns here,…we might want to see column A all the time.…We could, instead of freezing the top row,…freeze the first column.…Now it's important in either of these choices…that the particular feature is visible.…It isn't always row one, or in this case, column A…but most of the time it would be Freeze First Column…
