- In this worksheet called shapes,…we're seeing two shapes,…a rectangle and an oval.…There are numerous shapes you can create in Excel,…and you can add text simply by clicking on one…of these and typing.…I'll type "sales" right here.…I might change the size of that later,…for the moment I'll just leave it that way.…You can add text to any of these easily.…Now, when you create these, you go to the insert tab,…in the ribbon, shapes.…You've got 200 choices here.…Many times, you're going to be using rectangle,…oval, rounded rectangle, some of the ones we see up top.…
Notice also we've got smiley face up there,…we've got a Sun icon and so on.…I'm choosing rectangle here.…When you choose a shape,…as you slide the mouse onto the worksheet,…it's a very thin plus.…Hold down the left mouse button,…go anywhere you want with this.…How big do you want this to be?…If you want a perfect square,…hold down the Shift key.…You can only draw a perfect square…as long as Shift is held down.…Let go of the mouse first, make sure it stays.…
