When creating a shape from the Shapes button on the Insert tab, hold down the Shift key to create a circle if you selected the oval or a perfect square if you selected the rectangle. Duplicate a shape with Ctrl+D. With the Shift key, drag a corner handle to change the size, keeping the same height-to-width ratio.
