- Not only can you copy an Excel chart…to a different worksheet or to it's own…separate sheet, you can also copy a chart…to a Word document or a PowerPoint presentation.…I've got both Word and PowerPoint open at the moment…and I need to copy this chart and paste it into Word.…Now, I might want to paste it as if it…were just a snapshot or picture,…or I could want to paste it so that…it's linked to the source data,…meaning if there are changes to the Excel chart,…I want that to be reflected in the Word document.…
So I'm right clicking in the chart area…of this blue chart to the right of the data.…We're on a sheet called "Chart Data"…so right click, copy.…I'll jump over to Microsoft Word with cmd + tab…and I'll simply right click and paste.…Now, let's jump back to Excel.…I'm going to make a change to the data.…Imagine I make a typo here.…Instead of putting in the 130 for this January number,…I slip up, put in an extra zero,…and as soon as I press return all of these…charts here, which are linked to the data of course,…
