- [Instructor] Excel has numerous capabilities…for copying formats.…In this worksheet we got some data over in column A,…and you can see that in cells A2 through A7,…those cells have yellow background,…the text is italicized, the text is blue,…what you don't see, but it's still there,…is a numeric format, but you might be thinking,…"but I never applied a numeric format."…Well, whether you did or not, general format is in place,…that's the default setting in Excel for numeric formats.…So, if you were to approach the formatting idea by saying,…"I want this format to be applied to some…of the cells over here.…
"I want these to stand out a bit more prominently."…First order of business might be, after selecting…one of these and it wouldn't make any difference…which one we select.…Let's use this Format Painter here.…Now, if we click Format Painter once,…we can then either click on one cell,…or drag across a few cells.…But we're about to copy the format,…and that would include the numeric format…that maybe we forgot about.…
