- [Instructor] In Excel, there are many different ways to copy formats. On this worksheet, we see a variety of different formats and in some cases we want to repeat a format, or copy a format, into a different location. Let's start off with maybe three basic ways. We're looking at the data in column B. Let's say that we like this look. We want to copy it into column C. One approach is, we can highlight all the data in column B, there's nothing else in the column except what we're seeing but a lot of empty cells too. Why don't we simply right-click on column B and copy. Then we could right-click on column C and either explore the paste options this way or go to paste special. And what is it we want to copy here? Not the formulas, not the content, the values, but the formats, just the formats. And we've done that. That's certainly reasonable.
