- [Instructor] There are times with certain Excel formulas…where you say, I don't want the formula…to be there anymore, I simply want to save the data…that the formula has created.…And sometimes this need arises in unexpected ways.…We're looking at a worksheet called Salary.…And right away our eyes are probably drawn…into column A because they're a few things there…that are a bit unusual.…Primarily the leading spaces that we see in row three,…too many spaces in row eight,…also down in row thirteen in those names.…We need to adjust these.…And along the way we might want to do something else as well.…
We might want to adjust the upper…and lower case use of this.…I'm going to right-click on column B…insert a new column.…I'd like to do two things with the data…in column A using functions.…You might or might not be familiar…with the function called proper.…This function will capitalize only letters…that begin the entry or follow space or punctuation.…So if we apply this to cell A2, and press Enter,…we see what's happened there.…
