- [Instructor] Excel has a number 2 of different security features that allow you 3 to control what's going into a worksheet 4 or what's being changed in a worksheet. 5 If you go to the Review tab, you'll see Protect Sheet, 6 and the description says prevent unwanted changes 7 from others by limiting their ability to edit. 8 There's also a feature here 9 called Allow Users to Edit Ranges. 10 We can set up password protection on certain ranges. 11 In other words, in a worksheet like this, for example, 12 we could allow some users to make changes to column J, 13 but not others, 14 and other users maybe to make changes to column K, 15 but not column J. 16 This all begins with the idea 17 that we might want to protect the sheet. 18 Now, we could certainly use this feature 19 by itself and achieve a lot. 20 When you protect a sheet, in effect, 21 you're saying changes can only be made in certain cells. 22 And anybody…
