Change chart orientation
- [Instructor] A frequently overlooked option when working with charts is the ability to change a chart's orientation, and it's not obvious what that means, but as we look at the data here on this worksheet called YearData, it's in our Chapter One file, the charts that we're seeing are all based on the data over in column A through D. I'm going to click on the column chart to the right of the data and go to the Chart Design tab. And off to the right, we see this choice, Switch Row/Column, and I think the description doesn't quite do it justice. Swap the data over the axis. What does that mean exactly? I use this button frequently. In fact, almost every time I create a chart, I click this button. Not because I'm looking for a better option necessarily, but because I'm interested in seeing how the data could be displayed. I'll go back to this.
