- Instructor] In the previous movie, I showed you how to create a conditional format based on static rules. In this movie, I will show you how to create a similar format based on a formula. Using a formula lets you control the conditional formats by changing values that are visible in a worksheet rather than hidden in a dialogue box. My sample file is 03_05_Formula and that's an Excel Workbook you can find in the chapter three folder of your exercise files collection. On sheet one, I have a pivot table that lists sales to individual customers as opposed to businesses for each of nine regions. Also in cell E1, I have a threshold currently set at 92%. The idea is that any region that met its sales target will get one format. Any that came within 92% but didn't meet or exceed it will get another format and anything below 92% of target will get a third format. Now one thing I should note is that unfortunately you are not…
