- [Instructor] When you analyze a business process, you must take the needs of your customers into account. In this movie, I will demonstrate how to calculate one of the most fundamental characteristics of your process, its takt time. I'll perform my calculations in a workbook called 02_01 Takt Time, and that's an Excel file that you can find in the Exercise Files collection. Takt time indicates how much time you have to complete a task on average to meet customer demand. So in this sense, takt time represents the heartbeat of a process. So let's assume that Red 30 Tech anticipates a demand for 600 cat robot kits over the next week. I have that demand already in cell B3. We'll assume that the factory works five days a week. That's in C6. Eight hours a day. And we want to break our time down to the second, so we have minutes per hour, which is 60, and seconds per minute, which is also 60. So we want to find the total…
