- [Narrator] It's not enough to just have a good grasp on the theory behind business analytics. If you're going to use it and be a practitioner of it you need to know how companies actually want to apply business analytics, and the tools that are going to be in that toolkit. Now for a lot of people, when they start looking at business analytics they get confused or often conflate it with another similar term, business intelligence. What's the difference between business intelligence versus business analytics? You hear both terms a lot, are they interchangeable? Well, the answer is not really. Business analytics is a little bit different than business intelligence. It's a little more forward-looking, a little more analytical.
